The varieties produced and marked by the Simone are the following:
The Bigarreau Burlat - characterised by an early bloom, appears on the market around the half of May, according to the ripening degree, the fruits are large and bright to dark red, firm and robust pulp.
The Giorgia - the ripe fruits reach and overcome ten gram of weight, they are bright red, with red firm pulp and good characteristics of taste.
The Ferrovia di Turi - the queen of cherries, is very attractive, has large fruits (an average weight of ten gram per fruit) and excellent taste particularly appreciated for its juicy pulp, available on the markets from the last weeks of May up to the first weeks of June. It is heart-shaped, its colour is bright red, darker around the stone, its pulp is very firm and sweet. It is durable and resistant to transport.
The Sweetheart - a late variety, is appreciated because of its good resistance on the tree which enables to prolong the harvest period. Its fruits have a regular weight of about ten gram each, are firm and do not get easily bruised, their taste is excellent.
